NEW SPOT: PANTONE HOTEL BRUSSELS

July 2, 2010

3 reasons to stay here:

  1. If you like colour – if not don’t stay here.
  2. If you love Pantone’s products like mugs and bicycles – you can buy them in their shop.
  3. This is the best feature: when you check in, you can choose the colour of your room based on your mood. Pink is for the captivated human being, green for the fresh one.

From 69 euro. Check out: www.pantonehotel.com

TRIED & TESTED: HOTEL BLOOM

April 27, 2010

Most striking feature:

The art. Every room is designed by a different artist. Don’t think they have a couple of rooms, no you’re talking about 8 floors. If you need some inspiration go to their website and to fresco’s. Here you can find all the rooms and their artists. I like this one (room number 634). It’s from a Czech artist named Lukás Hájek. But I stayed in room 736 of Dutch artist Sigrid Nora van der Mersch. From this room you have a terrific view over the Royal Gardens and the city.

Weekendrate: from 64 euro. Check: www.hotelbloom.com
