TRIED & TESTED: EETBAR DIT DEN BOSCH

August 30, 2010

Most striking feature:

The interior. It’s so beautiful: the furniture, the funny details, the Delfts Blauwe tiles on the bar, the Maria statues in the bathroom. I visited in january 2009 so I really need to go again, but the funniest thing was that there was a list on the table where you could predict the future. They asked me what my idea of the year 2009 was. I don’t know what I’ve filled out, but hey, it’s funny. I’ve ordered a potato salad and it was delicious. It’s also a good place to have a high tea with your friends.

TRIED & TESTED: DEVARANA DEN BOSCH

August 9, 2010

Most striking feature:

A design sauna. I love it. There are several area’s all decorated in another atmosphere. There are Buddhas next to a bubble bath, there is a Morrocan desert camp with waterbeds (after a sauna session you will definitely fall asleep), there is a Turkish steambath with next to it several plates and statues from their culture. And there is the Eames lounge. No telephone, no computer, just you with some magazines and a cold glass of a fresh juice: closer to relaxation you’ll hardly get.

From 17 euro. Check out: www.devarana.nl
