I love yoga. And since I went to Bali and practiced my asana’s in the open air, I’m hooked on yoga holidays (when they say: ‘breath in’ and you smell the nature instead of the heavy odour from your classmate, it certainly makes a huge difference). Yoga in another country is cool, but you have to be lucky with the teacher (I’m not gonna tell you my experience in Tulum with an ex-con from Israel but bootcamp is nothing compared to that lesson).

Casa di Yoga is a Dutch company organising yoga holidays (and make sure you don’t meet an ex-con like I did). One of them is in Thailand. In Koh Lipe. If you book their yoga holiday over there, you’ll get two lessons a day and be free to spend the rest of the day on the beach. Or get a Thai yogamassage (heaven!). This yogaweek takes place from May 12 – May 19 and normally costs 695 euro, but because Casa di Yoga really likes Petite Passport, you can book it now for 595 euro. Be sure to mention Petite Passport when making the booking. More information:

Most striking feature:

The newly opened Kush: an ayurvedic beautycenter. Next to the rice fields lies the Yogabarn. A place where you can practice yoga. From Vinyasa to Hatha. And from Forrest Yoga to the cool named Tight White Guy Yoga – for beginners. Well I didn’t follow a yogalesson, but had a treatment in Kush. With an ayurvedic massage (1,5 hour), a facial (1 hour) and a treatment for my feet (30 minutes). What we paid? Only 35 euro. Go try it out by yourself.

Most striking feature:

The hotel extra’s. It is a beautiful designhotel but what makes it a special location are the extra’s. For example you have a fragrance burner in your room. Around 3 pm every hotel guest can collect a cup of herbal tea with something sweet next to it. And on monday and friday they arrange a free yoga lesson. Of course I joined and with the view of the ocean there isn’t anything more stimulating. Not the smell of stinky socks when you inhale, but the lovely smell of the ocean. The Leisure Concierge takes care of the rest: adventurous daytrips, sportive bicycle rides or joining the cooking school.

Rates from 100 euro a night. Check out:

3 reasons to stay at the Rock House Hotel:

  1. If you want to get together with your lovebird: the rooms are created on the rocks. Beneath it is crystal clear water.
  2. If you like waking up with a yoga lesson.
  3. If you don’t want to pay Honneymoon rates. The price of a studio is something like 120 euro a night.
