TO GO: VT WONEN POP UP STORE AMSTERDAM

May 1, 2011

If you’re in Amsterdam or planning to go there, you need to focus your trip around the Haarlemmerdijk. Dutch magazine VT Wonen opened a temporarily shop last week. Huh, a magazine opening a shop? Yes. VT Wonen thought: our readers can get inspiration out of our magazine, but in our store they can actually buy the things the stylists of the magazine like. Why turn your magazine into an iPad app, while you can make it into a real life hotspot. I love it. Open till May 8th.

TRIED & TESTED: GUSTAV10 KNOKKE

August 7, 2010

UNFORTUNATELY THIS HOTSPOT HAS CLOSED IT’S DOORS
(but has re-opened in Ghent)

Most striking feature:

The hospital beds? The Maria statues? The apple cake? The picknick on the go? The location in a superb villa? The personnel wearing nurse uniforms? The collection AF VandeVorst clothes? Another collection clothes made by friends of AF VandeVorst which is much cheaper? Ambulance candy? X-ray pictures used as curtain? Storage boxes used as cupboard? A horse in the hallway? Well you get it: it’s about the details at this temporary store of AF VandeVorst. You could wander around for 45 minutes and still discover something new. And, not to make you jealous or something, but this AF VandeVorst bag cost only 15 euro. And is perfect to carry books, bikini and sunscreen to the beach.

Open until october. Address: Zoutelaan 229, Knokke-Heist

Have you been there? What was your most striking feature?
