TRIED & TESTED: WALTER GHENT

February 13, 2011

Most striking feature:

A relaxing cafe where you get served with a smile. A rare thing in restaurants. The cafe is located nearby all the cool shops in the city. It has a simplistic outlook. Simple chairs, funny icons on the huge windows and a big table full of newspapers and magazines. I tried the leek soup with bread and an apple (funny detail). My friend was thrilled about the chocolate she got with her mint tea. A good spot for a lunch.

NEWSFLASH: MONOCLE MEDITERRANEO

July 29, 2010

In a week where the question of the hour is: ‘do you have an I-pad?’ (no) and ‘do you want one?’ (I don’t know yet), no one talks about newspapers anymore. Until today. Monocle (one of my favorite magazines) launched their Mediterraneo paper. One you will definitely want to have, read and be happy with for the whole sunday. And it only cost 7 pound.

Buy it here: www.monocle.com

What do you think? A good read for a lazy summer sunday?
