WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BEACHCLUB?

June 28, 2010

Because of the hot summer temperatures in the Netherlands (Yes!) Petite Passport is only about beachclubs this week. 2 per day, 1 in the Netherlands or Belgium, 1 abroad. But please help me with more of them around the world. So what’s your favorite? And why?

Picture is taken in Tulum, Mexico – if you like white sand, clearblue water and cool hotels: that’s the place to be.

TRIED & TESTED: BASICO PLAYA DEL CARMEN

May 12, 2010

Most striking feature:

The 15 rooms. Basic as Gwyneth Paltrow without make-up. You can see the electricity cabels and the water taps running. The curtains are made of rubber and the floor in the lobby is made of old tyres. The rooms all have floor-length windows so if you like being watched, you will like it here. If you’re not staying here, you can also come up for a cheap lunch.

From 100 euro a night. Check out: www.hotelbasico.com
