TRIED & TESTED: KITH CAFE SINGAPORE

April 14, 2011

Babs den Haring is  one of the most dedicated Petite Passport travellers. Together with her handsome husband she travelled to Singapore:

Most striking feature:

“What we liked most at Kith Cafe was the freshly squeezed apple juice. We’ve been here several times just for the juice. And the guy who works here was like: ‘you have to try my coffee, it’s really good as well’. That actually was true, but we had a thing for his apple juice. Kith Cafe isn’t easy to find. It’s hidden near a river and a bridge. But once there you’ll like the chalkboard, the small interior and the food. All made with a lot of love. Great place!”

TRIED & TESTED: CARAVAN ON EXMOUTH

March 10, 2011

Most striking feature:

This hotspot is a bit out of the normal touristic route. It’s located in Clerkenwell. And it’s the perfect start of the day. Because you can have breakfast and coffee (this place is famous for their coffee, but I’m more a tea girl). I’ve ordered some scrambled eggs and while we sat their eating and drinking we saw the red double deckers busses passing by and in front of the restaurant are two red phonecells. The perfect place to be an anonymous tourist 😉

TRIED & TESTED: VITRIN ANTWERP

February 8, 2011

Most striking feature:

The windows. This is a perfect spot to watch everything happen on the Marnixplaats. This is a huge roundabout where you will find several great restaurants like Fiskebar and Osterbar. Vitrin is a place where you go for a good cappuccino (the best in the neighbourhood), a lunchbreak or to read new and good magazines like Monocle. If you’re in Antwerp with your Bugaboo (and child in it), you can simply park it inside. And in summer you can sit outside on a huge wooden bench.
