I’M GOING TO BERLIN

May 6, 2011

This weekend I’m in Berlin making a report for Dutch magazine Marie Claire. I will be staying at the new The Weinmeister hotel in Mitte – but ofcourse I will be discovering new areas of the city as well. I’m so curious about the hotel because they work with iPad’s as well. If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook I will keep you updated.

Are you travelling to Berlin sooner than October (when the article is published) or living in another country and want my recommendations? Sent me an e-mail at petitepassport@hotmail.com

TRIED & TESTED: ALPENSTUECK BERLIN

April 25, 2011

Babs den Haring is  one of the most dedicated Petite Passport travellers. Together with her handsome husband she travelled to Berlin:

Most striking feature:

“We didn’t visit the restaurant, but the bakery across the street. It’s a sweet little bakery with white tables and chairs. Behind the beautiful counter you will find all kinds of delicious food. Like bread with several kinds of German cheese. This is the place to be if you want to learn more about traditional German food. And a good place to have breakfast. Oh and don’t forget to take a look at their beautiful pictures on the wall.”

Agathe Snow is an artist from New York. The Deutsche Guggenheim in Berlin hosts an exhibition about her work and Mykita decided to make a limited edition pair of sunglasses with the artist. Inspiration: the Guggenheim. I love the fact that’s a limited edition and that it’s pink. That color fits perfectly with my car 😉

Available at the Museum Shop and the brandstores of Mykita for 370 euro.

MAY I INTRODUCE TO YOU…

November 7, 2010

… my MINI who takes me to all those hotspots.

This weekend I’ve been to Maastricht. As much as I like travelling and going abroad, I also love to drive my beloved MINI. That’s why it’s great to live in Europe, because every city is reachable by car. In february I went to Paris (but I parked my MINI in a save parking lot nearby Mamashelter because the French have their own opinion of ‘how-to-park-a-car’) and I like to go to London, but you have to drive on the other side of the road and that scares me. My MINI is born in Oxford so I need to go someday to visit ‘her’ homeland again. And then Berlin: 6,5 hours away. In Germany they don’t have a speed limit, so I can go as fast as I like. During the week I visit a lot of places in the Netherlands so if you see the pink mirrors, say hello! 🙂

This week it’s all about Maastricht on Petite Passport.
