TO GO: THE MIRROR HAS TWO FACES ARNHEM

May 7, 2011

In the Netherlands there’s only one Fashion Academy which delivers names like Viktor & Rolf and Spijkers & Spijkers and that one is located in Arnhem – of all places. Arnhem is a city full of fashion (see stores like Humanoid and Coming Soon) so it isn’t strange at all to host a mayor exhibition of Spijkers & Spijkers. It not only captures all the collections of the sisters, but it also gives you rare behind the scenes information. If you love fashion, you can’t miss it. Till August 21, 2011

The artist of this poster tries to bring his experience of the cities he visited together in this print. I like the soft colors, the holiday feeling you get while watching in. I can’t find any ‘Buy Me’ button on the website, but I quess you have to sent them an e-mail if you want to know more. Also available: Paris, Berlin, Pisa, Key West, Miami beach, Oaxaca and Ko Pha Ngan.

TO SEE: MUSEE LAM LILLE

January 15, 2011

The newly revamped Lille Metropolitan Museum for Modern, Contemporary and Outsider Art (LaM) is designed by a woman named Manuelle Gautrand. That’s something I like, but please go inside as well because the museum hosts work from Picasso among others.

But they sell more: stationary, books, children’s toys, home decor and gifts. And the shop owner has a lot of humour (just look at the notes on their front door). Piece of art from Shelli Dorf: 22 euro.
