Most striking feature:

Their winelist. It’s never ending. So for real wine enthusiastics it’s definitely the place to be. You can eat some small tapas dishes and top it off with a great wine. Paté Paté is located in the raw Meatpacking District (Vesterbrö) where you will find Bio Mio and Karriere Bar as well. The interior fits the surroundings, but it has a lively atmosphere. I walked in late at night and it was still busy.

Most striking feature:

An organic restaurant with funny icons on the menu like ‘After Shopping Relief’, ‘vegetarian’ or ‘macho’. I quess the last one indicates that there’s spinach used in the recipe. The interior screams take-away. Not the perfect places for a romantic dinner, but perfect for a good and cheap meal. Bio Mio is located in the Vesterbrö area: the meatpacking district of Copenhagen where you’ll find cool bars and restaurants (like Karriere Bar and Pate Pate).

The idea behind this design: an alternative ‘clothes chair’. You know the one chair you throw all your clothes on in your bedroom. And by doing that you create an instant messy look overthere. Not something I prefer. The design of this stand includes some alternative hangers so you can hang your shirts and jackets over it. I love it. Design House Stockholm sells all things design. But all with a minimalist Scandinavian touch. From clothes to tabletops and from vases to furniture.

LIKE TO HAVE: Everything from MONKI

July 12, 2010

First of all I like to say that the website is better then their store in Copenhagen. When I visit the website I’m craving for everything and don’t know what to choose. The store is a bit different with neon colors and other brands as well. I’ve only bought a cute pink wallet, but I was a bit dissapointed because I had the intention to buy a lot. Instead I went to neighbour Ginatricot and bought everything overthere. But don’t let this stop you from going there, because oh boy, do they have beautiful things. You only have to search better then on their website. This fall they are opening a shop in Amsterdam.

Most striking feature:

The location. In the middle of the raw Meat Packing District of Copenhagen. Not for the light-hearted that’s for sure. If you don’t have a lack of imagination you can see the meat hanging between the cool, industrial bars that pop up. Karriere Bar is one of them. In the photo above you see how slick the interior is by day, on the image below (I took it around midnight) you see the atmosphere by night. A good place to go dancing or drink a cocktail, because the cocktaillist is thrilling.

Hurry up and book a ticket to Copenhagen. From April 29 untill May 1 2011 you can visit the Designer Forum. I’ve been there last year and it’s a must visit for every fashionista. Imagine this: a huge space filled with Danish design clothes. There is a lot of crap, but if you have a talent for treasure hunting then you will walk out of the Forum quite happy. Just like I did: I’ve found the Best Behavior stand and bought a legging and a coat for 125 euro. When I visited my favorite hometown shop, they sold the same jacket for 450 euro. So the discount is huge!

Next one is in september. Check out:
